Chatbear has many ways to link to specific pages, most of which are unknown to 99% of our users. This page is here to describe them to you and hopefully make it even quicker for you to get to specific pages.

All these URL's are here to make it simple for you to get to a specific page. A lot of the time messageboard URL's can be quite long, especially when you're pasting them into an email or IRC channel. The following significantly reduce the amount of typing required.

Linking to a Community

You can link to a community by it's shortname...

http://support.chatbear.com/

But if it doesn't have one, just put unityhome after one of it's board numbers...

http://support.chatbear.com/unity2/3/unityhome

Linking to a Board

Boards can have a shortname too...

http://support.chatbear.com/boards/chatbear

Or can simply be linked to by it's number if one isn't specified...

Linking to a Post

A lot of the time you want to link to a specific post. The easiest way to get this is to right click on the Direct Link option on each post and copy the link. Alternatively hover your mouse cursor over the post number and you'll see a number. You can then create a link like this...

Linking to a User Profile

If you want to link to a user profile page all you need to know is the users nickname. Then it's as simple as...
