I'm having a hell of a time trying to do lip syncing in any fashion with Faceposer. Here's what I've tried so far:

1. Using the phoneme editor. I realize the re-extract function no longer works (a topic covered in other threads), but EVERY time I try to PLAY or even move the green scroll bar, Faceposer crashes, this is even with a reinstall of the Source SDK. This makes the phoneme editor effectively useless for me unless there's a solution to this.

2. Try using Phonemes as expressions in the choreography window. This appeared to work fine at first, but lo and behold, when I actually tried to use them in-game, I get no expressions at all, only in the preview window for Faceposer. Forum searches reveal that expressions do not work in-game, great.

3. Trying to transfer the phoneme expressions into flex animations. While this might actually work, it screws with the timing on everything. If the lips only say "sh" for .3 seconds, but the default flex animation lasts a second, that means 70% of the animation is clipped, so it doesn't look right at all. I could theoretically go in and manually adjust the timings by hand, but that would be an incredibly inefficient way to do this, taking hours of work to just animate a couple of words.

So can anyone tell me how I can lip sync? I have READ the tutorials by the way, they seem to assume the SDK works like it's supposed to.
