Can anyone tell me if that stupid block rumble strip is going to be renewed or replaced because at the moment it is falling apart and is causing a rut by the footpath so when i went over it there was a almighty bang, I am sure other people have had the same problem i think it looks untidy and lets the entrance to grayshott look like a 4x4 obstacle course.

Hi anon@84.70

I think and thats always my problem :) the fact I think that is.
That it belongs to Surrey, and as we all know its on the boundry to Hants so why should Surrey repair it!
But if my memory is correct thats the problem with repairs to it.
An older minis lost a bolt after going over it some years ago. And most folk donot notice it due to the newer cars and suspension. BUT older cars are noticing it a lot.
Why cant hants get the whole of the Headley road? and crossways?
It might mean a boundry move!
As long as its done before the new build by boundry road gets approved by surrey :(

Not only is the Rumble Strip a disgrace but the approach road to Grayshott from the A3 is in a poor state of repair and getting worse by the week ! This road is a busy one at certain times and requires maintenance SOON ! Do we have to wait until some unfortunate cyclist falls in front of a car and is injured or worse due to the state of this awful stretch of road. I also feel sorry for residents who live close to the road, they surely must feel the vibrations from passing traffic.

No doubt councils whatever shape or form will give the usual excuses , lack of funds, ect, etc, we have all heard it before.

For goodnes sake we all pay enough taxes in every way that you can think of and should expect something for our money. We do live in one of the richer parts of the UK surely we deserve a better service from our elected councils and government (must not get too political)

Grayshott is a village which is under greater pressure from outside it's boundries for services mainly from Surrey at the moment but later from the Bordon area when 4500 houses are to be built. Yes I know a link road is proposed to the A3 but will it be built before the houses are in place ?

Sorry to diverse from the original subject but I feel that all these points are linked in some way.

Hi J Gilbert

keeping a bit off topic with regards the road. It needs re surfacing not just a slap and tickle they give to roads these days (the good old black bitch and a few scalpings) this does not work for any longer than 6 months.
and same as above re homes next to road etc.
