What's happened to waggoners wells

I have just been for a walk down waggoners wells and have been dissapointed by the lack of maintance to the paths and the ponds, i know its national trust land but it still is part of grayshott and it would be nice to see the place made a bit more accessable to people who walk around them and access for anglers with all there kit because there are millions of roots which are now trip hazzards and also there are a lot of trees and branches fallen over and in the pond which make snags for the fisherman that pay to use the ponds and refurbish the pontoons which have erodded away. It is a big shame to see the place looking like a bombs hit the place because i use to fish there in the 80's and 90,s and it was perfect for anglers and walkers.

I hope its just a case of 'Waggies' is next on the list for the National Trust to look at.

BUT could it be, we (national trust) want 'our' areas of natural beuty to be just that.
So if we do not keep the area up to scratch, for walkers/fisherpersons, then we do not have to keep repairing them? The less people use the ponds the less works needed to keep them up to geather. I KNOW its not the case, but...... A plan of action would be nice. Steps could be installed where the roots are showing, or platforms to hold dirt to cover the roots BUT not harm them, and to let them grow. All that would need to be done is the odd whaker packer ever year or so.

As for the bikes they will do just as much damage to a path with roots as to without. And I hope that bikers are a bit more thoughtful these days

What with the A3 diggings going on as well I expect that resorces are limited, after winning STOATS, and getting all the monies back, as they should do of course, as they won the case. But what would have happened if they lost? Where would that money be now?

Anyways here I go again ramble ramble ramble.... where I will go or even end up is a mistery....
